Hey Everyone,

Short one today, but it’s important :)

We’re going to go over:

  • The 2 Types of Recruitment

  • Some great twitter posts and content about hiring

The 2 Types of Recruitment:

Passive Recruitment:

  • Asking Current Employees for Referrals

  • Posting a Job on LinkedIn

  • Alumni Networks

Active Recruitment:

  • Direct Outreach

Usually business owners favor passive recruitment. It takes less time and it seems to be relatively easy. You just post a job, ask some current employees or friends for a referral and then you hope & pray.

VS

Active recruitment where you ‘actively’ hunt the talent through social media platforms, job boards, and private networks. Active recruitment takes more time and is much more difficult, but will yield MUCH higher results.

The best candidates already have jobs and aren’t spending all day looking through LinkedIn for new ones. They’ll never even see your job post, this is why you must actively reach out to them.

In the visual sense, passive looks like this:

And active looks like this:

Which would you rather be?

Hoping that the right person finds you?

or

Making sure you find the right person?
